African Analyst covers the business, political and social issues impacting global confidence in Africa’s growing private sector. A unique forum for intelligent and thought provoking discourse, each edition explores a single theme from a variety of different angles in order to provide a holistic view appropriate to the complexity of Africa.

The mining edition of African Analyst is produced annually in partnership with the organisers of Mining Indaba, held each year in Cape Town, South Africa. A true value-add for conference attendees, the 2011 edition takes the form of a mining handbook and includes information about business conditions in countries throughout the continent and an in-depth directory of the African mining value-chain.

Now in its 16th year, Mining Indaba is Africa’s largest and most significant annual mining convention. Between 4 000 and 5 000 delegates, representing nearly 800 companies and 40 government and quasi-governmental divisions, are expected to attend the 2010 event.
